Problem
A small drone inspection shop loses work every time its pilots cannot pick up the phone.
Stedo was built for drone inspection companies of one to five crews, where the same people fly the jobs, answer the phone, and write the quotes. While a pilot is up on a roof, the phone rings with no one to pick it up; a homeowner with damage from a storm simply calls the next company on their list. The rest of the work, however, piles up for the end of the day. Operators have to measure each roof by hand from satellite photos, price it, and turn a day of footage into a report an insurance adjuster will accept. As a result, the owner of a small shop spends nearly as many hours fulfilling monotonous errands as flying drones.
- of calls to small businesses reach no one
- 62%
Of those calls, 37.8% went to voicemail and 24.3% got no response. A drone shop with busy pilots misses calls the same way. Stedo's calling feature was built to answer every single one of them.
Solution
Let one integrated system answer the phone, price the roof, and write reports
Stedo integrated an AI voice assistant directly into a shop's phone line, answering every call within seconds. During the call, the assistant wrote down the caller's address and what they needed; once the caller hung up, Stedo turned the transcript into a lead and pushed it onto the operator's dashboard in real time. A prototype went one step further with that address, pulling a satellite image of the property, tracing an outline of the roof, and pricing it with the shop's own materials and labor rates. As a result, the operator only had to check the finished quote. After the operator's flight, Stedo wrote the damage report in the format insurance adjusters already read. Additionally, Stedo encrypted each company's customer records under that company's own key, and so no company could read another's.
